Sendah negotiating for acquisition of BWA

Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 12/16/2002

GARDEN CITY, NY— Barry Sendah, a principal in Fairmont Fabrics and Pacific Weavers is negotiating to buy BWA Inc. from current owner Barry Walker.

"We expect to close the deal anytime now, before Showtime, hopefully," Sendah remarked. "I'm looking for a fair and easy deal," Walker said. He plans to focus on the great outdoors in his next career.

Fairmont caters to the design trade, and Pacific Weavers is targeted more to the mainstream, Sendah explained. BWA, in business for 14 years, will be marketed under the name of Pacific Weavers and "run just like it was," Sendah added. BWA is the American distributor for several high-end European mills.

Walker has had a parallel business in the motorcycle and ATV markets, with two motorcycle dealership that he's run for a while.
