Katz moves up in rank at Neiman

Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 12/9/2002

DALLAS — Neiman Marcus Group named Karen Katz president and ceo of Neiman Marcus Stores, promoting her from her previous position of president and ceo of Neiman Marcus Direct.

A 17-year veteran of the company, she will succeed Gerald Sampson, who previously announced his plan to retire as president and coo of the Stores division by the end of the year.

The company has not yet named a successor to fill Katz's position in the Direct division.
