Area updates bedding

Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 10/11/2002

NEW YORK — Area's fall/winter collection will be featured at the upcoming textiles market and will comprise three new top-of-the-bed groups as well as sheets and blankets.

Joel and James are two new linen/cotton offerings that bring a modern look to the top-of-bed. Joel is a tone-on-tone jacquard pattern available in a neutral sand/natural color combination. The coordinating duvet (in full/queen and king sizes) is reversible, using the same fabric, and standard, king and Euro shams are offered. James is another jacquard in a steel/silver color combination, also available in full/queen and king duvets and in standard, king and Euro shams. A full/queen duvet wholesales for $90 and a standard sham for $18, for both patterns.

In its pure linen bedding line, the Iris pattern, in the Java colorway, is the latest introduction. It is a two-tone, brown/natural item available in full/queen and king duvets, standard pillowcase in a bagstyle, and in king, standard and Euro shams. A full/queen duvet wholesales for $130, and a standard sham for $22.

In its pure cotton line of sheets, Pleat has become the seventh style available. A 200-count pure cotton percale sheet, Pleat has a simple pleat detail on the edge of the flat sheet and pillow cases. In silver, bark or white, Pleat comes in full, queen and king sizes with cases in standard and king, though white is also available in twin flat and fitted sizes. A queen fitted sheet wholesales for $35, and a queen flat for $40.

Alma is a pure cotton fleece blanket in either chocolate, a deep, rich brown; smoke; and steel gray. It wholesales for $95 for a full/queen size, and $115 for a king size. Eli is a pure merino wool blanket in the Fog gray/natural color combination with a small, graphic pattern that's both modern and classic. A full/queen size will wholesale for $165 with king at $185.
