UF&D doubles showroom space

NEW YORK — United Feather & Down has moved to a new showroom, effectively doubling the amount of space it has available to showcase its product lineup.
Formerly located at 111 W 40th St. here, United Feather and Down's new digs are located at 1071 6th Ave. in Suite 200. According to Brandon Palmer, executive vp of the Des Plaines, IL-based company, over 3,500 square feet of space is now available.
"We wanted to create an environment that really displays the products in a way that effectively communicates the quality of the product," Palmer told Home Textiles Today. "And as we expand our lines, which we're doing, we want to have the space to show them."
United Feather & Down supplies a wide range of basic bedding utilizing both natural and synthetic fills.
What the old showroom lacked in facilities, the new showroom more than makes up for. In addition to the amount of square footage, United and its staff also enjoy plenty of natural light and "real high ceilings." Two private conference rooms plus a meeting space in the showroom are also available for face-to-face meetings with clients. Most notably, four beds are appearing on the showroom floor along with display walls and display units. The space also features a view of Bryant Park, which is located just across the street.
