Company adds new merchandise manager

AT THE NEW YORK MARKET — Springs Industries announced the hiring of Gordon Price as its new merchandise manager for mattress pads and institutional basic bedding.
Price, most recently the director of new product development and marketing for Perfect Fit Industries, reports to Randy Spence, vp of merchandising for the Basic Bedding division.
"His extensive merchandising and sales background, coupled with his market knowledge and customer relationships, will add to the strength of the Basic Bedding organization and contribute to its growth in both sales and profitability," said Tom Gaffney, senior vp of merchandising.
