Peacock Alley shuts NY unit; plans new locale

Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 8/12/2002

DALLAS— Peacock Alley has closed its New York boutique on 59th Street and will move to a new location later this year.

The company also has moved out of the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles and has established a full presentation of its bed, bath and fragrance collections in Statements, a home furnishings retailer two blocks away at 8371 Melrose Ave. "We are excited about the potential for our new Los Angeles location, said Mary Ella Gabler, ceo. "It will appeal to a broader customer base" from its street-level location, she said.

In New York, Peacock Alley's products are at Gracious Home on Third Avenue and 70th Street and on Broadway and 67th Street.
