Hall leaves Dan River after close to 12 years

DANVILLE, VA — John Hall, Dan River's long-time senior vp of sales and marketing for department and specialty stores, has left the company. His last day was June 28.
Hall joined the major mill almost 12 years ago in August 1990 after working for the former WestPoint Pepperell. While with WPP, Hall was the vp of merchandising for department store bed products.
As the point man for Dan River's better retailer business, Hall helped play a pivotal role in expanding the licensed Alexander Julian line and in helping the mill trade up its bed-in-a-bag offerings.
