Sphinx expands sales with two new execs

ATLANTA — Sphinx has added two new employees to its staff with the hiring of Ann Nusbaum as national accounts manager, and John Taylor as Southwest regional manager. Both will report directly to Mike Riley, vp of marketing.
Nusbaum comes to Sphinx from Shaw Rugs, where she spent the past nine years. Most recently she worked as national accounts manager. Prior to that she spent more than 15 years as a retail floor covering buyer before moving into wholesale in 1999. She will be based in Chicago and officially begins her position with Sphinx on July 1.
Taylor's was most recently territory manager for Gulistan. He worked for more than 16 years at Queen Carpet/Shaw Industries, where he was promoted to Gulf Southwest regional manager.
In his new post, Taylor will manage sales agents and accounts in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. He will be based in Houston.
