Meichner leaves Saks Fifth Avenue

NEW YORK — After 23 years at Saks Fifth Avenue, Wayne Meichner has left the company.
He was most recently executive vp of merchandising, a post he was appointed to in 1999. He supervised ready-to-wear, men's wear, cosmetics and fragrances, children's wear and home.
Merchants that reported to him will report temporarily to Christina Johnson, president and ceo, Saks Fifth Avenue Enterprises. The company is undergoing a search for a successor.
