Springs Baby adds Humphrey's Corner

FORT MILL, SC — Springs Industries is looking to give a boost to its baby business with a new Humphrey's Corner licensed line of products.
Through its Springs Baby division, the company will introduce such baby products as bedding, curtains and hooded towels as well as mobiles, nursery lamps and rugs.
In addition, the Springs creative products group will introduce a series of Humphrey's Corner coordinated fabrics based on the Springs Baby products.
"Humphrey's Corner" is a series of pre-school books and social expression cards created, written and illustrated by Sally Hunter. It has already gained a reputation overseas. The series revolves around a 3-year-old elephant named Humphrey; his toy rabbit friend, Mop; big sister, Lottie; little brother, Baby Jack; and Mommy and Daddy in a secure, nostalgic, simple and idealistic world.
"Humphrey's Corner will be a cornerstone of our growth strategy, and we feel Humphrey's Corner is destined for long-term classic success," said Kevin Carlisle, vp and gm of Springs Baby. "Springs Baby focuses on quality, innovation and value, and we believe Humphrey's Corner will be a hit with our consumers and customers."
Springs joins a growing cadre of companies that are already supplying, or are scheduled to supply, Humphrey's Corner products. The group includes plush toy manufacturer Gund, greeting card manufacturer Wonderful Wishes, CR Gibson for paper products and stationery, Michel & Co. for ceramic and resin gifts and home décor, and Silvestri for Christmas and everyday gifts.
