Dior brings fashion looks home

NEW YORK — Bringing its haute couture to the home, fashion design house Dior last week premiered its new hard and soft lines for the home all produced under license by Christofle.
Subtle Dior logo designs pair up with flashy fashion looks in the Dior Collection Maison of bedding, bath, table, accessories, and tabletop products — approximately 500 skus total. Several of the patterns are offered in multiple categories.
Four prints and four damasks comprise the bedding collection. Ego, which plays on Dior's "D"; Remake, a tone-on-tone stripe; Rendez-vous, a floral; and Dior, an embroidered look, are all damasks. And the prints are Splash, a splattered paint look; Graphite, a caning graphic; Camouflage; and Rose, a taupe rose design. A printed full/queen 200-count flat sheet ranges in retail from $115 to $135, while a damask will be $175 to $355. The damasks are 280-count, except for the Dior, which is 310-count.
In the bath, the patterns include Ego, Dior, Splash, and Graphite. All are available in a 22" x 39" towel (ranging from $40 to $50) and a hand towel, with certain patterns offering additional sizes. The Dior logo pattern is sculpted into the Ego towels, available in white, taupe, denim and wallis blue. The Dior towels feature a Dior embroidery on the band and come in white, denim, ivory and wallis blue. With its design on the border, the Graphite towel is offered in a white that reverses to gray, as well as a white that reverses to wallis blue. Splash is available in a pearl colorway.
In the table linen line, the three damask patterns of Ego, Doll — a dot pattern — and Graphite each come in four colors, designed to complement the porcelain patterns. Tablecloths come in 71-inch square, 71" x 95", 71" x 126", and round 102-inch sizes, and other linens include 22-inch napkins, runners and place mat/napkin sets.
Textiles accessories complete the collection, including throws, decorative pillows and novelty items. Throws and decorative pillows come in a wool/mohair blend ($395 retail for throw), linen ($295, throw) and wool/cashmere ($575, throw) as well as a tie-dyed Ego, regular Ego, faux fur and denim looks. A fur blanket that reverses to denim ($1,090) is also available.
Novelty items include a camouflage sleeping bag and mat and a beach bag that converts into a beach towel.
The majority of the textiles are produced in France, with the exception of the damasks, which are made in Italy.
Dior boutiques will have the collection within a month.
