PANORAMA CITY, CA — Several years after introducing soft window coverings programs that did not tie into its bedding collection, Veratex has shifted its strategy and will begin to offer a complete line of coordinate window draperies and toppers.
In addition to its signature array of highly embellished and lavish bed ensembles, the company will unveil a full line of coordinating window coverings for every bed next market as well as a full assortment of coordinating top treatments.
For its spring market lineup, 24 beds were new, with each offering variations of the company's opulent style.
According to Dale Talbert, vp, Veratex will offer eight of the following new top treatments, an ascot valance, scarf valance, balloon valance, bishop valance, Kingston swag, empire valance, swag valance and a cascade valance. Each of the treatments will use patterns and fabric taken directly from the original "parent" bed.
In order to supplement the patterned treatments and at the same time help retailers offer consumers more, Veratex will also offer the treatments in 10 solid colors, which may be layered into the color scheme of any bed.
"We're setting out to be the best at offering coordinating window programs," said Talbert, who added that the addition of the topper coordinates should double the company's window business, from 10 percent to 20 percent.
Talbert also said the patterned treatments will follow the same design philosophy of the bedding program. In other words, embellishments such as various types of fringes, balls, ruffles and tassels will be a key factor.
