Senior responsibilities reassigned

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL — As part of Sears' home fashions department expansion that now includes mattresses and housewares as well as bed, bath, window coverings, area rugs and luggage, senior merchandise responsibilities have been restructured.
Mark Grand, vp, gmm for all of home fashions, now will focus on bed, bath, window coverings and the expanding mattress business.
Assuming responsibilities for area rugs, housewares and luggage is Barbara Pizzella, who has become vp, gmm. She formerly was senior director, strategy initiatives, the corporate planning group.
In another appointment, Mark Mettler has been named dmm for bed, bath and window coverings, reporting to Grand. Mettler, who has been with the company for nine years of the store's organization and in the strategic initiatives group developing new branding strategy that includes an expanded Whole Home program, reports to Grand.
Mettler succeeds Charles Domingue, who was promoted to dmm, boys 2 to 20, children's division, late last year.
