Springs adds Riggs as vp

FORT MILL, SC — Dean Riggs has joined Springs Industries as an executive vp.
Riggs was named to executive vp, home furnishings operations last week. He succeeds Steve Kelbley, who had announced his retirement earlier this year.
Riggs, who most recently worked for Russell Corp. as corporate vp, will be responsible for Fort Mill, SC-based Springs' bed and bath manufacturing operations, which includes roughly 30 plants and 11,000 people in eight states.
"Springs has a great management team and is focused on being the market leader," Riggs said.
He will report directly to Crandall Bowles, Springs' chairman and ceo.
