Cohen tempted to try clothing

According to Avi Cohen, president of Veratex, it's not such a far-fetched concept.
Cohen told Home Textiles Today that extending the Veratex name into apparel has been a vision of his since he founded the luxury bedding company a decade ago. And while Veratex clothing may seem a bit of a stretch, Cohen cites the influence of his worldwide travels and relationships with fabric suppliers far and wide.
"Why not?" Cohen said about extending the brand. "I would like to do it very much."
Cohen also revealed his interest in perhaps detaching himself from the everyday management of the company taking more time to travel and research resources and contacts for the company. But, he added, he would never leave the industry totally.
"In five years? Of course I'm involved. I enjoy the challenge, and that's what I love about it," he said.
