American Silk adds vp, design

NEW YORK — Cynthia Clark Douthit has been named vp, design, a new position, for American Silk Mills, based here.
Douthit, who most recently was a consultant to American Silk, among other companies, reports to John Sullivan, president. Prior to becoming a consultant, Douthit was with Valdese Weavers and has had extensive experience in the high-end decorative fabrics market.
