Las Vegas - Gift + Home at Las Vegas Market will launch C-One, a new cross-category showcase of directional tabletop, gift and home resources in both permanent and temporary presentations, at the summer 2013 show July 29-Aug. 2. In total, C-One is expected to present about 45 design resources.
"C-One is shaping up to be an amazing collection of some of the best names in gift and home offerings - together in one dramatic presentation," said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers. "This stellar concentration of key brands on the first floor of World Market Center's Building C will serve as a ‘calling card' for better gift and home resources presented throughout the market."
Among anchor showroom tenants for the C-One debut are Alessi USA, which will showcase its line of design-led gift and home accessories in a 1,230-sq.-ft. permanent showroom, and Vietri, which will feature its collection of Italian-handcrafted tableware and home décor in a 1,200-sq.-ft. permanent showroom.
These tabletop brands join Michael Aram, an acclaimed designer of handcrafted metalware, whose participation in a 2,380-sq.-ft. permanent showroom was announced in December. The existing 12,000-sq.-ft. showroom of rug resource Nourison and the 3,500-sq.-ft. showroom of international importer Silkroute will also be part of C-One.
The showcase will also include a number of curated temporary presentations whose offerings will complement the C-One collection. Confirmed participants to date include: designer Jonathan Adler's line of home décor, giftware and furniture presented in 922 square feet; Fatboy USA, a lifestyle brand that will feature its whimsical home furnishings in 387 square feet; bedding, linens and textiles from Ann Gish, Inc., which will be located in 704 square feet; and Magisso North America LLC, whose line of housewares and tabletop will be shown in 200 square feet.
The summer 2013 launch of C-One is part of "an overall redefinition of Las Vegas as the industry's premier Western U.S. marketplace," according to a press release.
Other plans for the strategic growth of Gift + Home at the Las Vegas Market include the summer 2013 debut of the Lifestyle Collection on C10, with suppliers of on-trend resources from in-demand lifestyle categories; expansion of sophisticated home décor resources on C4 as an extension of the successful winter 2013 C3 consolidation of better home décor resources; and repositioning of temporary home exhibits (Home, Style, Textiles) to C5 and temporary gift exhibits (Gift, Gourmet, Global, Made, Trend, Vintage and Carry) to C11 to facilitate synergies between temporary exhibits and permanent showrooms on adjacent floors.
