Standard Linens names Wingold vp, sales and marketing

Toronto, Canada - Standard Linens Inc. has hired Dan Wingold to fill the newly created position of vice president of sales and marketing.

The utility bedding manufacturer said the new post has become "critical" as the company enters the wholesale core bedding basics category for the first time.

Wingold comes to Standard Linens Inc. from Canadian sleep protection products company HealthGuard, where he served as national sales and marketing manager. Prior to that, he was director of ticket operations for the Phoenix-based Western Professional Hockey League.

Based in Charlotte, NC, he reports to ceo and president Oliver Altiparmakyan.

Wingold will be involved in the design, development and marketing of the company's new protector, pillow and duvet brands, as well as with expanding and streamlining the sales department, "which will drive product awareness and the development of new business opportunities in the USA and Canada," the company noted.
