Foreston Trends makes strong seasonal statement

Home Textiles Today Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 3/21/2013 12:18:04 PM

At the New York Market - A wall of brightly-colored, novelty, and graphic patterns shone at Foreston Trends' 295 Fifth Avenue showroom this week.

Plunging deeper into seasonal than it has in the past, the table linens and kitchen textiles company showed a broad assortment of vinyl and plastic place mats - many of which tie back to matching kitchen textiles components.

To support the endeavor, Foreston Trends developed a free-standing cardboard display case with three trays/shelves that can also be used individually on store shelves. Each self-contained display is stocked with 20 four-pack sets of place mats.

The program is also available open stock, if retailers prefer, said company president David Alden.

Five seasonal categories of goods collectively comprise more than 150 or so patterns. Some looks are more novelty and cater to holiday themes, while others are for everyday use, including sharp photo-real images taken from nature such as close-ups of tree barks and flowers.

Suggested retail price points for the new place mats are $2.99 to $3.99 each or $12.99 for a four-pack.
