Home Textiles Today Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 3/8/2013 12:11:52 PM

New York -- The Robert Allen Design Group has appointed 20-plus-year industry veteran Robert Nachman as the company's vp of marketing.
In his new post, he is charged with overseeing the marketing team and its digital, consumer, and advertising initiatives for the Beacon Hill, Robert Allen, Robert Allen Contract, and Robert Allen home brands.
Phil Kowalczyk, ceo of The Robert Allen Design Group, said Nachman "will play a critical role in leading the brand experience for our design clientele. His unique background in luxury consumer products and fine home furnishings brands will elevate both our branding and digital leadership. We are excited to have him as part of our team."
Nachman has held positions with a number of design and lifestyle companies like Hearst, Bloomingdale's, Steuben. Most he was with New York City's Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, where he led the effort to redirect retail operations during the museum's $65 million renovation.
"Robert possesses that special combination of innate design sensibility and business savvy that makes him an exceptional addition to our marketing team," added Jennie Wilde, Robert Allen Group's senior vp of design and marketing. "We are looking forward to the value and impact he will bring."
