Pier 1 Imports reports strong Q4 sales, comp

Fort Worth, Texas - Driven by increases in store traffic and higher average ticket, Pier 1 Imports Inc. reported strong comp and total sales results for its fourth quarter, ended Feb. 25.

On a 13-week comparative basis, comps grew 7.9%.

Total sales for the 14-week fourth quarter improved 15.7% to $552 million.

Full fiscal year results included: a 7.5% improvement in comps on a 52-week basis, and an 11.2% jump in total sales to $1.705 billion.
