Calico bestows achievement award on P/Kaufmann's Garcy

Kennett Square, Pa. - Lance Garcy, president of P/Kaufmann Fabrics, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Calico during the textiles retailer's national sales meeting this week.
"Lance takes exceptional care of his customers," said Bert Kerstetter, Calico ceo, in remarks to the audience of 200 store executives from across the country. "Aside from the fact that Calico has sold millions of yards of P/Kaufmann fabrics, he never takes that for granted."
Garcy started with P/Kaufmann in 1972 as an apprentice in the sample room. His salesmanship led to Calico purchases with a retail value of over $275 million, according to the retailer.
"He makes sure that we have the best designs and have them first," said Kerstetter. "He is responsive, he is professional, he is fun to do business with, and he has made P/Kaufmann an indelible part of the Calico history."
