Surya outlines winter market event series

Calhoun, Ga. - Revved up for market season, rug and home accessories company Surya has schedule a series of showroom events for the upcoming Atlanta and Las Vegas winter markets.

"We've developed a series of events that I believe our retailers will find both informative and creatively inspiring. We are also very excited to welcome them into our expansive new Atlanta showroom -- which has allowed us to showcase a more complete range of our product offerings," said Surya president Satya Tiwari.

Market visitors are invited to stop by the Surya's showrooms - both in Atlanta and Las Vegas -- for complimentary breakfast and lunch as well as afternoon cocktail hour with hors d'houevres.

In Atlanta during the International Gift & Home Furnishings Market
Jan. 9 to 16, Surya will be exhibiting in its new showroom, 11-a-1.

Events there will include:
--Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. -- Designer Spotlight with Malene B, Surya's latest design collaborator. She will share the style inspirations for her new globally inspired Voyages and Destinations Collections.
--Jan. 10 at 4 p.m. -- Totally 80's Flashback Party. Surya will celebrate the opening of its new showroom with an 80's inspired event, complete with themed cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a DJ "playing classics from the era of big hair and legwarmers." A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place shortly before 5 p.m., and all market visitors and press are invited to attend.
-- Jan. 11 at 1 p.m. -- Lunch & Learn with Surya's "Rug Basics" seminar. The company will launch its 2013 training series with a retailer's guide to the essentials of rug construction and care.

During the Las Vegas Market, set for Jan. 28 to Feb. 1, Surya will host several events at its showroom in the World Market Center in space B-370

--Jan.29 at 2 p.m. -- Designer Spotlight with Beth Lacefield. The designer will walk retailers through her bold new home accessories collection that blends classic tribal motifs with a contemporary palette of neutrals and pop shades.
--Jan.29 at 4 p.m. -- Totally 80's Flashback Party - West Coast. Surya's winter market celebration continues, as the 80's flashback event moves to Las Vegas. Market visitors are invited for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a DJ playing favorite classics.
--Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. -- Lunch & Learn. The Surya design team shares the latest trends in home fashion and tips for translating them into stylish, engaging retail solutions.
