Nourison, Barclay Butera to host book signing in Vegas to aid Sandy victims

Home Textiles Today Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 1/9/2013 12:46:41 PM

Saddle Brook, N.J. -- Nourison and lifestyle designer Barclay Butera will co-host a book signing and cocktail party during the Las Vegas Market to support victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The event is scheduled Jan.28 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Nourison's showroom, located in space C112 at the World Market Center.

Butera will be signing copies of his latest book, "Living on the Coast," which will be available for $25. The proceeds, along with a matching donation from Nourison, will benefit victims of the storm, which devastated parts of the Northeast when it hit in November.

All market visitors are welcome to attend.

"We are pleased to host this event in our showroom and to contribute towards the relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Sandy," said Alex Peykar, principal at Nourison. "This is very personal for us because the storm has devastated several areas where we live and work, as well as affected many of our own customers, friends and relatives."

Added Butera: "I know I can count on our customers and friends to join with us and support this effort to help our fellow citizens during their time of need. I am looking forward to this event and the opportunity to meet with as many visitors to the Market as possible."

Nourison's Barclay Butera line includes 7 collections and 41 rugs including:
--Equestrian, which takes its cue from classic refined English country living and features antiqued leather in a fabulous tile pattern.
--Kaleidoscope, a stylish mod-mix of swinging shagreen and cheetah diffused ikats, mixed in with classic Greek keys.
--Hinsdale, a densely powerloom woven New Zealand wool with viscose highlights collection featuring Persian and Damask designs.
--Maze, a striking flatweave collection made of wool that features an interlocking two-toned geometric pattern.
--Medley, a hip, modern hide-hair collection that features classic color combinations merged with over-dyed vivid hues and a double-banded metal stud border.
--Oxford, a quintessential Barclay Butera design in wool featuring well-defined signature stripes in varying widths with gentle colorways.
--Ripple, a wool, hi/lo flatweave collection that features variegated mono-color waves that hint of a subtle texture and gentle vibe.
