Karastan to Expand, Remodel Atlanta Showroom

SUGAR VALLEY, GA. - Upscale area rug designer and manufacturer Karastan is remodeling and expanding its flagship showroom in Atlanta at the AmericasMart.
     The company said it needs a larger and updated space "to showcase a broader, deeper product mix" it plans to show during the Atlanta International Area Rug Market, scheduled Jan. 10-13.
     With the additional space the company is adopting from an adjacent showroom, Karastan will occupy 7,000 square feet. Karastan is located in the third floor of the Mart's Buidling 1.
     "Our goal is to always provide a stylish, functional and elegant backdrop for Karastan's wide array of product offerings," said Brandon Culpepper, vp of specialty sales. "Our expansion plan is key to presenting our newest products in a comfortable and inviting environment, and as always the new showroom will capture the sophistication and style of the Karastan brand."
     Karastan represents one of the anchors for AmericasMart's rug section, said Kevin Malkiewicz, AmericasMart vp of leasing
     "We are very happy about Karastan's new commitment to AmericasMart," he said.
