IFDA, Taylor-Smith to host session on Pinterest

New York - The International Furnishings & Design Association's (IFDA) New York Chapter is offering members of the industry an opportunity to get better acquainted with Pinterest and how to use during a special presentation next week.

Cheminne Taylor-Smith, vice present of marketing for the High Point Market Authority, will host the event, which include "some new tricks to help you ‘pin to win'" as well as the basics, according to the IFDA.

The event will take place Dec. 3 in the conference room at the New York Design Center at 200 Lexington Ave. The one-hour session will begin at 9 a.m. after a brief networking breakfast at 8:30 a.m.

Taylor-Smith oversees marketing, public relations and social media for the High Point Market. She is also the power behind the Design Viewpoint Series and the award-winning Style Spotters Program. With over 20 years of experience in the home industries, she previously was the public relations director for Elle Decor and Metropolitan Home magazines, editor in chief of Conde Nast's InFurniture Magazine, and editor in chief of Casual Living magazine.

The cost is $10 for IFDA members and $20 for their guests, free to IFDA student members and $10 for their guests.
