Kohls' to cease monthly sales reports come 2013

Menomonee Falls, Wis. - Kohl's Corp. today said that starting in 2013 it will no longer release its monthly sales figures.

The mid-tier department store chain explained with this shift, it is looking to "align with the wishes" of its investors and "the practice of the majority" of its retail peers.

Instead, the company will report its sales results quarterly in conjunction with its quarterly earnings release.
