Family Dollar names evp for store ops

Matthews, N.C. - Family Dollar Stores has promoted Colin McGinnis to senior vp for store operations support, store development and procurement.
He joined the retailer in 2004 as a regional v, where he was the operations lead on the development of the Store of the Future project. In 2006, he was named vp of store operations support & process improvement. Most recently, he was given additional responsibility for store services, procurement and store development.
Prior to joining Family Dollar, McGinnis held positions of increasing responsibility with a national drug store chain.
He reports to Barry Sullivan, executive vp, store operations.
