AMS Imports joins Pinterest

Amherst, Mass. - Area rugs and textiles accessories house AMS Imports has joined Pinterest to showcase its artisan-made wares as well as share inspiration with customers and the design community.

"Social media is one of the most effective ways to interact with customers," said Anne Schewe, president of AMS Imports, "Pinterest offers an additional, but unique opportunity for our company to interact with designers and customers."

She added that the company offers "unique area rugs, tapestries, pillows, and other textiles made by skilled weavers and artisans" worldwide, including Egypt, Peru, Jordan, Columbia, India, Sweden, Uzbekistan, the United States, and other countries.

On Pinterest, AMS Imports is presenting several boards for fellow "pinners" to follow "if they want new design ideas, design inspirations, or area rugs from AMS."

Area Rug Expertise, High Point Market October 2012, Favorite Places & Spaces, and Design Inspiration are a few of the new boards the company has created.

"Our pins offer consumers, designers, and other retailers the opportunity to see not only the products our company offers, but also recent news in the home décor industry, and designs posted by designers or media publications," she added.
