Surya makes Inc.'s 500/5000 list again

Calhoun, Ga. - For the second consecutive year, area rug and home accessories company Surya Inc. nabbed a spot on Inc. Magazine's 500/5000 list of America's fastest-growing privately held businesses.

Only this time, the company landed on higher ground.

For the 2012 edition, Surya ranked in 2,691st place, up 755 positions from last year when it was at No. 3,446.

Surya credits its improved ranking to its consistent double-digit revenue growth since 2004. The company said it reached $50 million in revenue in 2011 and serves 75% of large furniture retailers.

"Surya has always been passionate about simplifying the home decorating process," said Satya Tiwari, Surya's president. "We have focused extensively in developing innovative solutions for our business customers, while increasing product selection and availability in the market. Our growth is a great affirmation that our customers find value in partnering with us to solve their needs."

Surya works with a network of designers such as Emmy award-winning costume designer Bob Mackie as well as HGTV hosts Candice Olson and Angelo Surmelis.
