Pier 1.com reopens online doors with new e-commerce features

Fort Worth, Texas -- Pier 1 Imports Inc. has officially launched its new e-commerce enabled, fully-redesigned website - ww.Pier1.com - with new functionalities and capabilities.

The newest feature made available via the site is "Pier 1 To-You," which is where website visitors can buy products online and have them shipped directly to the location of their choice within the continental United States.

In addition, the new site allows for easier navigation of the company's broad product assortment "while maintaining Pier 1 Imports'...'treasure hunt' feel," the company noted.

Site visitors can also now find design and décor inspiration in the site's newly unveiled "Get Inspired" and "Learn How" editorial content sections.

The "Pier 1 To-Go" feature, which launched in June 2011 and allows customers to pay for selected product offerings online and pick them up at their local Pier 1 Imports store location without incurring shipping charges, continues to play a key role in the overall e-commerce effort for the company.
