Fab Habitat unveils sustainable rugs

HTT Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 8/17/2012 4:30:02 PM

Parlin, N.J. - Fab Habitat has created a line of indoor/outdoor rugs woven from straws made of recycled plastic.
Showing this week at the New York International Gift Fair, the rugs are lightweight and reversible. They can be shaken clean or hosed off.
"They are made using premium quality recycled plastic straws which are tightly woven together to offer strength, softness and beauty. Being plastic, moisture will have no effect on the mat and it will not attract mildew," according to the company.
