Revolution Home Décor charts a path in One Direction

HTT Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 7/13/2012 11:49:22 AM

Montreal - Revolution Home Décor has signed a licensing agreement with Global Merchandising Services to produce a home textiles line built around the hit UK boy band One Direction.
The juvenile bedding will include comforters, duvet covers, sheets, bed spreads, shams, bed skirts, blands and throws. In addition, Revolution Home Décor will produce curtains, beach towels and dec pillows. The One Direction line will be available to major retailers in Canada in time for Christmas delivery.
One Direction has sold more than 6.7 million singles and 2.7 million albums worldwide. They're most recent album, "Up All Night," last spring entered both the Canada and U.S. Billborad 200 charts at No. 1.
"We're really excited about this one," said Gary Amir, partner, Revolution Home Décor.
Before launching Revolution Home Décor a little over a year ago, Amir spent seven years at Lady Sandra Home - which handled the Justin Bieber license.
The company currently does non-licensed business will several major Canadian retailers and is developing accounts in the U.S., said Amir. Programs include printed microfiber duvet cover sets, microfiber coverlets and adult comforters and a range of curtain constructions.
The company is also the licensee for the Power Rangers 20 Anniversary Megaforce brand for distribution in Canada.
