New York - The market for Cotton #2 futures was closed yesterday in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The intra-day price at noon on futures for October contacts was 71 cents. The price on December contracts was 71 cents.
Today's Cotlook A Index - a basket of prices from the world's major cotton-producing regions - was 86 cents.
