Calico Corners launches new printed line with Acquitaine

Kennett Square, Pa. -A new collection of 30 linen/cotton prints from Acquitaine is debuting this summer at Calico Corners-Calico Home stores across the country.
A high-end British fabric house, Acquitaine "offers the look of Bennison or Brunschwig without the designer showroom price," noted Lori Cropp, merchandise manager for Calico. "These prints retail for $50 to $60 per yard-and that's an amazing value, considering that some of these patterns have as many as 20 silk-screened colors!"
All patterns are silk-screened, and many of the Acquitaine patterns are taken from 19th and 20th century documents- antique patterns, adapted and redrawn by textile artists to work with the scale and furnishings of 21st century homes.
"The design elements are beautifully rendered, and the 100% linen or linen/cotton base cloth makes the patterns feel young and not so serious," Cropp continued. "We also love the sophisticated color palette, with surprises like citron and persimmon."
We would love your feedback!
