Greensboro, N.C. - The International Oeko-Tex Association and garment manufacturer will host a seminar titled "The Next 20" to discuss the future of textiles and sustainability on Nov. 14 in New York.
The event will take place from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at The Glass House, 545 W. 25th. St.
Environmental advocate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will deliver the keynote address.
"Oeko-Tex was a pioneer in the establishment of independent third party certifications for the textile industry," said Dr. Jean-Pierre Haug, secretary general for the association. "While we are proud of the Association's contributions during our twenty year history, we are even more interested in looking ahead. It is exciting to see the industry's growing commitment to safe textile products that are made in responsible facilities. We are confident that our certifications will play an important role in helping our clients achieve that goal."
