Azra Imports expands showroom presence at AmericasMart

Hagerstown, MD - Pakistani hand-knotted rug supplier Azra Imports is moving into a larger showroom at the Atlanta AmericasMart and recently purchased a new, 10.000-square-foot warehouse here by headquarters.

Azra said its "first two quarters of 2012 have been busy."

The company's Atlanta showroom represents a new space for Azra. Located in suite 4-G-3 in Building 1, it is down the hall from its former space but is twice the size.

There, Azra will introduce two new collections during the upcoming Americas Mart International Area Rug Market, scheduled July 12 to 15. Its latest line of Multan Ikats spans 20 different styles in six color ways. "Inspired by one of the oldest cities in the world," the company said, "[the] Multan [collection] combines the old with the new." It takes traditional ikat textiles and interprets them in contemporary, vibrant color stories.

Also new for the market will be the Hunza collection, which applies two different fibers - silk and wool - to traditional Peshawar design motifs.
