Momemi adds custom program director

Carlstadt, N.J. - Rug manufacturer Momeni has hired Douglas Tashjian to the newly created position of custom program director. The move also marks an expansion to the Momeni branded custom rug program that launched several years ago.

Tashjian is a longtime veteran of the area rug industry and has worked in management positions with Tufenkian and Megerian Carpets. He will report to company president Reza Momeni, who commented: "Douglas is a well known talent in this industry. Being able to add him to our team will bring our Momeni Concepts custom program to a new level. Making beautiful rugs has been his life's work."

The updated custom program will be introduced at the July Atlanta Area Rug market and will feature custom development from all over the world, including China, India, Nepal and North America.

"Momeni Concepts is the natural extension of Momeni's commitment to servicing this segment with excellent service, value and quality," Momeni added.
