HTT Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 4/3/2012 1:57:53 PM

Culver City, Calif. - The Rug Market America will debut multiple collections of indoor and outdoor rugs at this month's High Point Market.
Those introductions include 75 designs and colorations encompassing innovative outdoor textures, dyeing and finishing techniques, and designs from traditional to transitional to contemporary. With the depth of these introductions, The Rug Market continues to provide floor covering for every décor from one source.
"As retailers look to us as a single source for all types and styles of rugs, our design team is challenged each season to provide them with collections and constructions that fit a variety of consumers," said Mike Shabtai, owner, The Rug Market America.
"With the 2012 collections, our range encompasses designer rugs with outdoor durability to the finest in wool and silk for interior decor," Shabtai added. "The collections for this season provide an excitement we are confident will be felt by buyers and consumers alike."
Within the newest introductions are additions to the popular Ecconox Collection that offers designer looks at an attractive price point. Cecelia, one of the six new introductions to the Ecconox collection, is a contemporary take on colorful peacock feathers on a warm brown field.
A bold illustrative fruit design featuring the latest color trends is found in Citrus, one of seven new introductions to be presented in the durable outdoor Resort collection. A group of dhurries with unusual design touches will also be on display this spring.
The popularity of ikat yarn techniques was the inspiration for six designs that will be introduced in a luxurious wool and banana silk construction by The Rug Market. The offering includes the blue-hued Torona. Flowerzone and its wool hook construction offers homeowners an explosive yet artistic floral motif.
"For 2012, we feel we have responded to the marketplace by offering from a single source the latest color trends, yarns, weaves and design trends," Shabtai said. "We understand the demands on buyers and business owners today and we are able to assist them through in offering their customers a wealth of floor covering options."
The entire selection of introductions from The Rug Market America design team will be on display in High Point at the Suites at Market Square, M-1000A.
