Harounian principal earns AmericasMart President's award

HTT Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 1/27/2012 2:01:24 PM

Atlanta - The AmericasMart showroom complex has awarded its highest award - the President's Award - to David Harounian, a principal of Harounian Rugs International.

Jeff Portman, president of AmericasMart, presented the award to Harounian - only the third person to receive it since 1994.

The award is designed "to honor service and dedication to the rug Industry," AmericasMart explained.

Harounian is the longest-serving president of ORIA, the Oriental Rug Importers Association.

Portman said Harounian "represents the three pillars of the President's award -- integrity, commitment and tenacity."

For more than 40 years, Harounian Rugs has designed, manufactured and supplied a broad selection of area rugs to all branches of retail distribution, with a continued focus on furniture stores throughout the country.
