Target promotes Mulligan to cfo

Minneapolis - Target has named John Mulligan executive vp and chief financial officer. He succeeds Doug Scovanner, who will retire in March after 18 years in the post.
Mulligan had been senior vp of finance and has spent 16 years at Target in various positions in finance, ecommerce and human resources.
Scovanner's retirement is to take place March 31, after which he will remain with the company part-time through November.
