QVC taps Dillman for CIO post

West Chester, Pa. - Mutli-media retailer QVC has recruited Linda Dillman to become its new chief information officer, reporting to president and ceo Mike George.
Dillman brings 20-plus years of career experience leading IT teams of major companies. Most recently she served as svp, global IT, at Hewlett-Packard, where she was responsible for development, support and management of all IT applications for the Enterprise Services business unit and all Global Functions. Prior to that she was evp and chief information officer at Wal-Mart, where she was credited with transforming the supply chain management model for the mega-retailer and the industry as a whole.
QVC, which provides 24/7 live programming for its customers through highly-tailored TV, PC, mobile and tablet venues, is charging Dillman with: providing strategic oversight and direction on the design, development and implementation of technology solutions; overseeing the day-to-day management of the US and corporate information technology operations; and in partnership with the international market leaders, helping set the direction of the information technology organizations in QVC's markets around the world.
