Welspun USA brings on new ceo

New York – There’s a shift in the C-suite at Welspun USA.
The major home textiles mill, the second largest single supplier to the U.S. market, has named Julie McKenzie its new chief executive officer.
McKenzie has domestic and international experience spanning more than 35 years across sales, merchandising, sourcing and licensing. She was most recently senior vp of soft goods and CPG at Nickelodeon, where she spent the past five years.
Prior to that, she was associated with several organizations, including Dillard Department Stores, Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Accessory Exchange, and Richard Leeds International.
“I am excited to welcome Julie on board,” said Dipali Goenka, ceo and joint managing director of Welspun India Limited. “Welspun USA is on an accelerated growth path and Julie’s coming on board as ceo will consolidate Welspun’s leadership position in the US while further deepening relationships with our partners.”
McKenzie commented: “I am excited to work with Welspun which is not only known for its world class Home Textiles products, but is truly a consumer focused and market-driven organization. I am eager to maintain and grow Welspun’s successful run in the US market and intend to work towards taking it to new heights."
On Leonard’s new role, Goenka said, “Barry has been a wonderful partner and friend to Welspun. He has been instrumental in our growth. We look forward to his ongoing insights and strategic guidance.”
