Couristan launches Pulse area rug marketing program, sales tool for retail partners

Fort Lee, N.J. - Couristan is launching its newly developed "Pulse" area rug marketing and sales tool program designed to help retailers more effectively promote the company's soft floor covering offerings.

The Pulse program includes a library of four-color brochures that communicate "the essence of the Couristan brand," the company explained, featuring product situated in highly stylized room-scenes.

Compiled in a sturdy three-ring binder with graphics on the front cover, spine and back, the first set of Pulse brochures focuses on four popular lifestyle trends - The Good Life, Casual Surroundings, Home Retreat and Without Walls.

All 39 area rug collections in Couristan's running line through October 2011 are categorized in the Pulse binder by construction, pile fiber, price and pattern.

A fifth Pulse brochure will be available in early 2012 and will feature a special 85th anniversary assortment that will include classic power-loomed wool designs in Couristan's signature style.

Each collection page lists key product information such as pile fiber, construction, special features and benefits, and available stocked sizes. Area rugs that coordinate with roll runners, special shapes, and residential broadloom are noted with color-coded asterisks. Updated brochures will be printed on an annual basis with supplemental ‘New Introduction' tri-fold inserts printed every six months.
