Bombay Co. inks licenses with JLA Home for new home textiles collections

Home Textiles Today Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 10/27/2011 3:13:10 PM

New York - The Bombay Company has forged four new licensing partnerships - one of them with JLA Home - to develop a roster of new home products.

JLA Home is Bombay's new licensee for home textiles, including bed linens, bath accessories, window treatment, decorative pillows, throws and rugs. Bombay noted this collection will comprise "luxuriously-designed, high-quality goods in the classic Bombay style."

"Bombay is a recognizable lifestyle brand that has a very loyal following. There has been a void in the marketplace for globally-inspired designs with classic roots since The Bombay Company closed its stores," said Scott Howard, JLA Home's vp of sales. "We are thrilled to be working closely with the Bombay team on this collaboration."

Bombay's other three new licensees are: The Zrike Company for dinnerware, serveware, stemware and barware; StyleCraft Home Collection for portable lighting like table and floor lamps, chandeliers, pendants and electric wall sconces; and MVP Group International for candles and scented products.

"Establishing strong licensing partnerships is an integral part of our overall strategy for growth, and help catapult the evolution of our brand," said Wil Hollands, President of Hermes-Otto International USA and owner of The Bombay Company brand. "We sought out industry leaders in key product categories to strengthen and complement our unique designs and sourcing efforts."

Hermes-Otto International will continue to directly design, source and import in their areas of core competency of furniture, décor, wall décor, seasonal and lawn and garden categories.

The Bombay brand is now available at select specialty and mass retailers and online nationwide.
