Boscov's reopens Monmouth Mall store

Eatontown, NJ - Regional department store Boscov's last weekend reopened its anchor here in the Monmouth Mall - the first time the company has reopened a shuttered location.
The home textiles department, as seen during an HTT visit on Saturday, featured a broad assortment of sheet sets as well as five two-sided racks of table linens. The retailer's Ashley Cooper brand was dominant throughout domestics.
Fashion bedding was located midway back in the department, with an emphasis on ensembles. Brands included Croscill, Nautica and Laura Ashley in addition to Boscov's house brand.
Also notable was the soft window department - particularly its display of roughly 50 kitchen tier designs.
The store closed in 2008 after the company fell into bankruptcy. Albert Boscov, son of the company founder, put together financing that allowed the family to regain ownership. Chairman and ceo Alfred Boscov told the local Asbury Park Press the chain is running in the black and logged a 7.6% sales increase in 2010.
