Madison, from the new Abboud collection evokes pinstripe suiting in the top of bed
At the New York Market - Multi-category supplier Sam Salem has just put the finishing touches on its new showroom at 7 W and is also unveiling its first bedding collection under license from menswear brand Joseph Abboud.
For many years a closeout company, Sam Salem eventually turned to manufacturing. Abboud is its second licensed brand. The new showroom also devotes amble space to Rampage, a vibrant apparel brand with teen appeal the supplier launched in home last year.
"The company is growing. Brands are very, very important to us," said Richard Eidler, vp of sales and product development. "Both brands have a very strong apparel drive to them - though they're certainly very different."
Abboud debuts with about six bed designers and an assortment that includes comforter sets, duvet cover sets, sheet sets, blankets and decorative pillows. Sam Salem is already developing bath towels and rugs to expand the line, said Eidler.
The collection targets the department store and specialty chain channels.
Aiming for a completely different consumer, Rampage features microfiber top of bed and accessory pieces that don't shy away from the glitter.
The brand also is positioned for department stores and specialty chains.
"It's pretty, and it's fun," said Eidler.
We would love your feedback!
