Oeko-Tex to celebrate at FIT

Sustainability certification association marks 25th anniversary

New York – FIT will host sustainability events and a reception in early June as Oeko-Tex marks its 25th anniversary.

  • The Summer Conference at FIT , June 5-8, is entitled Sustainability & Textiles—New Models, and will address sustainability standards, closed loop and circular economies, farm to fashion, and textile innovations.
  • The AAFA Product Safety Seminar, sponsored by Oeko-Tex, will be held at the Fashion Institute of Technology on June 6.
  • The AAFA Sourcing Conference will take place June 7-8.
  • Oeko-Tex will host its 25th Anniversary reception for all conference participants, customers, media representatives, and other colleagues at FIT at 5:00 PM on the evening of June 6. RSVP for the reception to Dina Dunn at D.Dunn@OEKO-TEX.com.

Anna Czerwinska, the International OEKO-TEX® Association’s Head of Marketing and Communication, will discuss third party standards at the FIT Summer Conference event. The Harmonizing Standards panel will take place on Monday, June 5 at 11:30 AM. Representatives from other certification organizations and certified manufacturers will join the panel as well. Czerwinska will also moderate the State of Sourcing – Trends, Shifts, and Looking Ahead panel at the AAFA Sourcing Conference at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, June 7.
