Cobra/Espalma brings back Brazil with Sensational ensemble

New York - Cobra/Espalma decided this market it was "going back to Brazil" to return to the market a new kind of upscale, high-quality bath towel collection.

"People out there want better goods, better quality," explained Raw Ellen Blum, vp of sales and marketing. "Our new Sensational towel is a point of differentiation to distinguish from the mass merchants and what they carry. Sensational helps us keep a level of high quality."

Sensational, which includes bath sheet, bath towel, hand towel and fingertip, is a 700-gram, 100% combed cotton product made in Brazil. Solid colored and available in either white or ivory, it features an all-over zigzag textured body design complemented by a dressy hem border.

The bath towel is priced to retail for $29.99.

Hitting a more mass appeal from Cobra/Espalma this market are two other new collections - Heath and Egyptian Jewels.

Heath, made in India, is a $19.99 product that is solid colored and features a cuffed velour border accented with a contrasting hemstitch detail. Made of 100% cotton, it comes in black, white, silver, clay and spa blue.

Egyptian Jewels represents the company's effort to "create an 18-pound, 30-by-54 towel for a good price" - being $14.99, Blum said.

As its name implies, this collection is made of 100% Egyptian cotton with loops and comes in eight colors - white, ivory, spa blue, Everglade, wine, oyster, stone and charcoal. The components include bath, hand, tip and sheet towels, tub mat and robe.
