cmi hires Haynes to sales team, and Boyden head IT

Pawtucket, R.I. - Braided rug and accessories manufacturer cmi - Colonial Mills Inc. - is building its sales and IT teams with two new hires - Kirsten Haynes and Tim Boyden.

Kirsten Haynes, who was already serving cmi and Rizzy Rugs as a Kentucky and Southern Ohio territory manager, is now cmi's national accounts manager targeting key potential accounts, including bricks-and-mortar through online and catalog retailers. Additionally, she continues to manage to Kentucky and Southern Ohio territories for the company. She is working for cmi as an independent contractor.

"I am really excited for the opportunity to play a key role in growing business and eager for the challenge," said Haynes.

Tim Boyden has been appointed cmi's new IT manager. He brings to the company more than 16 years of career experience providing information technology services to various organizations. Most recently, he was employed in the direct mail advertising industry, providing technical support and web application development services for Valassis Communications Inc. Prior to that, he provided technical support and project management services as a systems administrator in academia at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In his new role, Boyden is responsible for day-to-day technological advances, EDI management, website applications, SEO management and software user training.

"Tim is very hands-on and dove right in to his job responsibilities. His experience in the IT and advertising industries are an interesting combination and bring new insight to various departments at cmi," said Don Scarlata, president and ceo.
